How to Use Habit Tracker
Step 1: Add your habits Start with 2–3 habits maximum. More than 5 is overwhelming and dramatically reduces completion rates. Enter a clear, specific habit name: 'Walk 15 minutes' is better than 'Exercise'.
Step 2: Define each habit clearly A good habit has a clear completion criteria: 'Read 10 pages', 'Do 20 push-ups', 'Meditate for 5 minutes'. Vague habits like 'Be healthier' cannot be ticked off and tracked.
Step 3: Check in daily At the end of each day (or during the day as you complete habits), tap the checkbox for each completed habit. Consistency of the check-in itself is more important than perfect completion.
Start with habits that take 2 minutes or less. The goal in the first month is to build the habit of doing, not to achieve a specific outcome.
Attach new habits to existing ones (habit stacking): 'After I pour my morning coffee, I will read for 10 minutes.'
Track habits you can control (actions) rather than outcomes (e.g., 'Go for a run' not 'Lose 1 pound').
